No one loves anything as much as this kid loves Eeyore. (Taken with instagram)
I know some people grew up with parents who were maybe a little *too* competitive with them - like parents who try to win at everything from I Spy and Hungry, Hungry Hippos to father-son basketball games - but most of the time, I think it’s awesome when parents don’t let their kids win…
I am notorious for not letting my nieces and nephew win or cheat. Every tear makes them stronger!

Admittedly, I was a little nervous about undertaking this endeavor. It seemed difficult and kind of yucky, and I was overwhelmed at first by all the different types of diapers and all the steps involved. However, I’m pleased to report that we’ve been using them for about a month and I am not only competent, but I love them! Certain aspects are slightly yucky, but no more so than any of the other wonders of motherhood. I highly recommend taking a class if you’re considering doing it; the one I took at Be By Baby was very helpful and only a teensy bit sanctimonious.
The one downside is that our child care provider doesn’t allow them. We’re not too discouraged, though - He’ll wear them for the first three and a half months, then as with everything else, we’ll make a compromise. We figure that having him in cloth diapers more than half the time is still a financial and ecological boon. Hooray for boons!
Penny would like to be as close to Henri as she possibly can at all times. I think she doesn’t want to be left out. My lap is ample, luckily. #Henri #doxie #siblings (Taken with instagram)
